Leather and Canvas Care

How to take care of Your Leather Goods
Leather is a skin and one of the breathable textiles. It needs a little love and care to keep it looking dapper.
We know we sometimes like the rugged look it gets with age but even then a little care, helps it age like fine wine.
• To avoid stretching, select a style that fits your requirements.
• Do not overfill your handbag, purse or wallet to maintain its original silhouette
• To maintain the look of your flawlessly crafted piece.
• Take care to avoid contact with sharp objects
• Avoid wetting leather items as wet leather requires extra care.
- Store canvas away from direct sunlight as this can cause fading
- Avoid using plastic bags for storage, they prevent good ventilation. Use a dust bag
- Store your bag standing on its base rather than hanging it up. Hanging can stretch the handles.
- Choose a spot that is tall enough to allow the handles to stand up unimpeded. Doing otherwise can cause them to become bent and loose shape.
- Clean with a slightly damp cloth whenever necessary.
- Regularly air out
- Blot away water or moisture as soon as possible
- Dry wet products naturally away from direct sunlight or artificial heat
- Keep leather supple with a specialized leather conditioner every 6 months
- Patch test any conditioners, cleaners, polishes or wax in a hidden spot beforehand
